ROTHERHAM UNITED: BROWN MOVES TO SHOTS

Troy Brown has today signed for Aldershot Town on loan until the end of the season.

The 21 year old signed for Rotherham United in the summer from Ipswich Town but has struggled to break into the Millers' first team. After inking the temporary deal with the Shots he spoke to BBC Surrey about the switch.

"I've come to Aldershot to prove them [Rotherham United] wrong and prove to myself that I can perform at this level and higher."

Despite moving to league rivals until the end of the current campaign, Rotherham boss Andy Scott has not ruled out Brown featuring for the Millers again in the future.

"He has had a stop start season with going away with Wales and coming back and not getting in the side, so we feel that it is a good move for him to get some games in before the end of the season, then we will reassess it again in the summer."

The 29 year old suffered a head injury during the first half of the match which resulted in him being substituted.

Speaking to the club's official website Scott said, "He has been taken to hospital. It was a 50/50 challenge. He got there first, but he's got a problem with his ear in terms of it bleeding."

"He came in at half time and he seemed okay, but he took a turn for the worse so he's had to go to hospital just to make sure there's nothing more sinister."
