Cambridge City have confirmed the departure of Josh Beech. Manager Gary Roberts commented on the move, 'this season he has been unable to produce the same level of form'.

MANSFIELD TOWN: STAGS SIGN THREE

Ben Hutchinson, Gary Roberts and Matt Green have all finalised moves to Blue Square Premier side Mansfield Town today.

Former Rotherham United and Crewe Alexandra midfielder Roberts joins the Stags on a free transfer after his Port Vale contract was terminated this week due to persistent breaches of club discipline.

Green has agreed a move on the back of a successful loan spell from Oxford United in which he notched fourteen goals in twenty five appearances, and Ben Hutchinson, 24 moves on a free transfer from Scottish Premier League side Kilmarnock.

Speaking to the club's official website Matt Green said of his move, "I'm happy here. The gaffer has been instrumental in my development and has shown belief in me. I'll now look to push on to help give the club success in the forthcoming season."

Ben Hutchinson also commented on his switch to Field Mill, "I'm looking forward to getting my career back on track. I want to score goals and do a good for the team."

Cambridge City manager, Gary Roberts has declared his confidence in experienced striker, Neil Midgley following his goal against Weymouth, "Neil's still definitely still good enough to start games. He showed at times last season he can do a good job up there with Craig [Hammond]."
