Despite bringing in a string of high profile players over recent weeks, new Doncaster Rovers boss Dean Saunders has reassured the club's youngsters that they will get a chance to prove their worth this season.
Speaking as he oversaw coaching at Rovers' Centre of Excellence yesterday the former Wrexham manager said, "The youth set up at the club is something that is very close to my heart and something that I want to be closely involved with."
"I'll be showing as much interest in them as the first team players and I want them to know that, if they are good enough, they will get a chance to prove it while I am here."
Doncaster's first team squad has yet to feature a product of their youth system so far this season but Jordan Ball, Eddie Wilding, Rachid Bouhenna and Oscar Radford were all given squad numbers by former boss Sean O'Driscoll earlier in the season.
