LEEDS UNITED: BLACKBURN CHASING HOWSON

Blackburn Rovers are planning a swoop for Leeds United midfielder Jonny Howson in the January transfer window, that's according to local media reports.

This week Leeds Chief Executive Shaun Harvey confirmed that a contract offer had been made to Howson in order to keep the talented player at Elland Road.

"Discussions have been ongoing since the August transfer window shut. We have made an offer to Jonny and we are waiting for a response."
