The 26 year old is struggling with an ankle injury and has been ruled out of this evenings Europa clash with Atletico Madrid, something Lennon thinks should better his chances of featuring on Sunday.
"Brown has an ongoing ankle problem. If he has any chance of playing on Sunday, then it is just as well to leave him at home. I think he has a good chance of playing against Rangers, maybe 80%. A fit Scott Brown would be very important for us, especially in a fixture as physical and high tempo as an Old Firm game."
