CAMBRIDGE UNITED: INJURY WORRIES

Cambridge United manager Jez George has revealed that defenders Michael Wylde and Blaine Hudson will be missing from his side's starting line up against Gateshead at the weekend.

23 year old Wylde sustained an injury to his groin in the clash with Forest Green Rovers last Saturday and Hudson is yet to cover from a leg problem.

George thinks Wylde's decision to play on Saturday may have backfired on him, "He felt it during the game and wanted to get through it, but it looked like something was wrong, because he was certainly fine beforehand. He may not have been quite right physically and maybe didn't do himself any favours with his desire to play, but the motives were right and he's the kind of character you want in the trenches."

The U's boss discussed Blaine Hudson's problem and the complications surrounding it, "He has been on a course of antibiotics which is due to finish today, but his leg is black and blue and really swollen."

"Blaine is going to see the doctor again, but it's hard to say when he'll be fit because it's not as straightforward an injury."
