BARNSLEY FC: DAGNALL MOVES TO SOUTH YORKSHIRE

Scunthorpe United striker Chris Dagnall has moved to Championship side Barnsley for an undisclosed fee.

The 25 year old has linked up with the South Yorkshire club on a two and a half year deal amidst fine praise from new boss Keith Hill.

"He works hard, has bags of energy and can be a bit of a fox in the box too."

Hill is familiar with Dagnall having managed him at Rochdale. The striker had notched six goals for the Iron this season.

BARNSLEY FC: BUTTERFIELD OUT FOR SEASON

Barnsley midfielder Jacob Butterfield will miss the remainder of the season after sustaining damage to his knee in their clash with Leeds last week.

The 21 year old, the subject of recent Premier League interest, is expected to undergo surgery in the next few days on his anterior cruciate ligament ruling him out of action until the summer.

Speaking to BBC Radio Sheffield manager Keith Hill expressed his disappointment at the news, "It's really sad. He's been absolutely superb for us. His season has been brought to an abrupt end when he was in such a strong position."

Butterfield has featured 25 times for the South Yorkshire club this season, scoring five goals.

BARNSLEY FC: HAYNES AVAILABLE FOR TRANSFER

Barnsley manager Keith Hill has revealed that the club have made striker Danny Haynes available for transfer.

Speaking to BBC Radio Sheffield Hill said it was both a 'financial and footballing decision', adding that the 23 year old was not in his future plans.

Haynes signed for Barnsley last January from Bristol City for an undisclosed fee. He scored six goals in twenty appearances in his first season at Oakwell but has started just five games this term.
