FAN'S VIEW: READING SEASON PREVIEW

We were inundated with help from Reading fans when we asked for contributions for a season preview. First up, Charlie.

HOW DID YOU FEEL THE 14/15 SEASON WENT FOR YOUR TEAM?

Bar a fantastically exciting FA Cup run, 2014/15 was arguably the most forgettable season I've ever watched at Reading. What will stick long in the mind is just how dreadful it was. By half way, Royals fans were already baying for the season to finish. The team just looked diminished, unhappy and lacked quality throughout the year, and it was miserable. I pay I don’t have to watch anything of the sort this time around.

HAVE YOU BEEN IMPRESSED WITH THE ADDITIONS MADE DURING THE SUMMER BREAK?

Yes, very much so. Steve Clarke announced his summer intentions at the end of the year, claiming there would be a lot change over the summer. And boy was there. Our three most senior players (arguably) Adam Federici, Jem Karacan and Alex Pearce flew out the window, sending the alarmists insane. However, there replacements are quite brilliant. Combative midfielder Stephen Quinn looks like an absolute live wire, and though we’ve only seen glimpses of Paul McShane, he seems to be fairly good as well. And to get them both for free, well, they could be signings of the summer.
Though I don’t back Ali Al Habsi to be our number one, the experience he’ll provide for youngsters Stuart Moore and Jonathan Bond is invaluable. Speaking of Mr Bond, for £250,000, what a signing. Orlando Sa we've seen very little of, but if Youtube speaks the truth then he looks like a physical powerhouse and a decent finisher.

ARE THERE ANY AREAS YOU FEEL STILL NEED STRENGTHENING?

Absolutely, our wide options look very, very thin, and hopefully with the exit of Hal Robson-Kanu, we’ll see more come in. We look set to sign Paolo Hurtado, but I'm not convinced that’s quite enough. I also think we need to bulk up the centre of the park, and with Alex Fernandez on the way in, it looks like we will. But the big one is our strike force, with the incoming Orlando Sa just not enough. I like the looks of Dominic Samuel, but I'm sick and tired of the ever disappointing Nick Blackman and Pavel Pogrebnyak, who I hope is released at the end of the year. I feel we've been trying out for a striker with pace for years now, and that should be what is targeted to partner Orlando Sa.

ARE THERE ANY FIXTURES THAT YOU'RE PARTICULARLY LOOKING FORWARD TO?

Any game against QPR is always a good one, only because normally we never lose. Other than that there’s very little for us to look forward to. Our only football league derby fixtures are Swindon and Oxford, and of course they’re in the leagues below us. Goodness knows the last time we played either of them.

WHICH OPPOSITION TEAM DO YOU HAVE HIGH HOPES FOR THIS SEASON?

Tough question.I’d probably have to go with Burnley, a lovely club who seem to enjoy doing things the way we do - i.e. spending precious little money. They've built a strong squad this summer, and I’d expect them to do well. Other than that, I very much admire the squad Kenny Jackett is building at Wolves. Full of explosiveness (if that’s a word) and pace. My kind of team. I’d back them to go up this year.

WHICH PLAYERS AMONG YOUR SQUAD SHOULD WE BE LOOKING OUT FOR THIS TERM?

Demarai Gray watch out- there’s a new young left winger in town. Watch the name Tariqe Fosu. Tore Derby County apart on the season’s final game with his terrific ability, and on his début! He’ll definitely be in the first eleven this year after impressing in pre season as well, but don’t expect him to line up against Birmingham. He’s struggling with an injury at the moment. IF he stars, look out for Dominic Samuel, but it’s a big if. Danny Williams and Gareth McCleary are also ones to watch. Both fantastic players. A final one would be Michael Hector, who is arguably the best centre back we've seen at our club for some time at the tender age of 23. Brilliant footballer.

WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'LL END UP AT THE END OF THE SEASON?

I have no idea. The Championship is just too hard to predict. Get more goal scorers, and beef up that midfield and you've got yourself a play off challenge. However, I'm not overly convinced that will come to fruition, so I’d say slap bang in mid table with a 12th placed finish, with a view to a promotion push the year after.

Big thank you to Adam who also offered us his thoughts.

HOW DID YOU FEEL THE 14/15 SEASON WENT FOR YOUR TEAM?

A very poor season with the only highlight being our fantastic run in the FA Cup. In our cup run we fought tremendously and went out with no fear against some of the best teams in the country but in the league we looked drab, slow and lifeless. I was very shocked there was 3 worse teams in the league than us and we deserved to go down in all honesty.

HAVE YOU BEEN IMPRESSED WITH THE ADDITIONS MADE DURING THE SUMMER BREAK?

We've done very shrewd business bringing in a few free transfers and also a couple of loans. Quinn and McShane look like fantastic additions and the disappointment some Hull fans showed when they left proves that I think. Ex-Wigan stopper Ali Al-Habsi was also signed along with fellow ‘keeper Jonathan Bond from Watford, who we managed to get for £200k which seems like an absolute steal. We also brought Portuguese striker Orlando Sa for just over £1million which is more money Reading have spent on a player in a long time!! Not sure whether he will start over Pogrebnyak who needs to start firing this campaign. We are also in talks with a Peruvian winger and Spanish attacking midfielder but am unsure whether these will materialise.

ARE THERE ANY AREAS YOU FEEL STILL NEED STRENGTHENING?

We don’t seem to have a striker who will score 20/25 goals a season which most teams who are near the top of the league come the end of the season seem to have but with us buying Sa I can’t see us delving into the transfer market for another centre forward. We could also do with another versatile defender after Stephen Kelly left the club this summer.

ARE THERE ANY FIXTURES THAT YOU'RE PARTICULARLY LOOKING FORWARD TO?

Leeds always seems to be a fiery occasion with red cards galore in the last few meetings and most their fans seem to come down and are in good voice, which you have to credit them for. We also have the ‘blue and white hoop’ derby with QPR and because they are one of the geographically closest teams to us in the division always leads to good banter between fans. I'm also looking forward to Adam Le Fondre returning to the Madjeski, as long as he doesn't play too well!

WHICH OPPOSITION TEAM DO YOU HAVE HIGH HOPES FOR THIS SEASON?

I think Fulham will be right up there this season. A good mix of young talent and experience with the likes of McCormack and David Wheater they might be a surprise package for the upcoming season. I also think the centre midfield partnership of Ben Pringle and Jamie O’Hara could be interesting. You also have the favourites, Middlesbrough and Derby (who have spent big with the purchases of the likes of Downing and Stuani and Weimann and Shackell  respectively.) Middlesbrough, Derby and Fulham to go up for me.

WHICH PLAYERS AMONG YOUR SQUAD SHOULD WE BE LOOKING OUT FOR THIS TERM?

McCleary is always exciting to watch but picked up an injury whilst at the Gold Cup with Jamaica so will miss the start of the season. Although, Tarique Fosu has been brought up through the academy and, when he started against Derby on the last day of last season, looked incredible. A confident, tricky winger with bags of potential- he also caught the eye of Newcastle and Villa who were rumoured to make a bid in the summer. There’s also our USA international Danny Williams who scored his first goal for America this summer. A no nonsense midfielder who can put in a great tackle but also makes terrific driving runs through the centre of the park and pops up with a goal and an assist here and there too. Look out for Obita and Hector too.

WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'LL END UP AT THE END OF THE SEASON?

My heart says play-offs, my head says mid-table obscurity. Depends on who else we bring in and whether the team fit into Clarke’s style of play. Should be an exciting season.

We also picked Steven's brain on the campaign ahead for the Royals.

HOW DID YOU FEEL THE 14/15 SEASON WENT FOR YOUR TEAM?

The 14/15 season started of quite well, 6 wins out of the opening 9 games but we then we had a lot of inconsistent  results  including a 6-1 hammering by Birmingham, who we will hopefully get revenge on on the opening day of 15/16! After the reasonable start we were very poor with the last 10 games of the season consisting of 6 losses, 3 draws and 1 last day win, and amazing performance, over Derby. Overall verdict, very poor season.

HAVE YOU BEEN IMPRESSED WITH THE ADDITIONS MADE DURING THE SUMMER BREAK?

Yes, but I have been more impressed that we have held on to Gareth McCleary. In the past we would have cashed in on a player in form coming to a certain age and by holding on to him we are showing good intent for the coming season. In terms of the summer signings , Sa is a really good signing for us as we have struggled in recent seasons for an out and out goal scorer and this lad looks the biz, top scorer in the Polish League. Also, Quinn offers some great experience.

ARE THERE ANY AREAS YOU FEEL STILL NEED STRENGTHENING?

I think we still need another striker, especially with the possibility or Pogrebnyak being out for a little while, and at least one more midfielder.

ARE THERE ANY FIXTURES THAT YOU'RE PARTICULARLY LOOKING FORWARD TO?

I always look forward to us playing against Wolves as its always been a good battle with some tasty score lines (3-3 last season), plus a good friend is a Wolves fan and its always nice to get bragging rights over him!

WHICH OPPOSITION TEAM DO YOU HAVE HIGH HOPES FOR THIS SEASON?

Only have high hopes for the mighty Royals! But I think its hard to look past Derby and Middlesbrough for league winner.

WHICH PLAYERS AMONG YOUR SQUAD SHOULD WE BE LOOKING OUT FOR THIS TERM?

Hector - Just had a great Gold Cup with Jamaica and he was one of the stand out players last season.
Obita - Jordan has come through the academy at reading and I think this will be his season .
Tariqe Fosu - Had a chance to get some game time towards the end of the season and completely destroyed Derby in the last game. Tricky, fast and very explosive.

WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'LL END UP AT THE END OF THE SEASON?

I have high hopes for a team that appears to have a very good spirit, Clarke has had time to settle and we have strengthened in key areas, so I will say Top 4.

Next up James who offered us his insight.

HOW DID YOU FEEL THE 14/15 SEASON WENT FOR YOUR TEAM?

I thought it couldn't have gone much worse after narrowly missing out on the play-offs the year before. A lack of investment as we recover from the Zingarevich ownership and also a lack of motivation seemed a big factor as we finished near the bottom of the table. The FA Cup run was magnificent though, which was the only shining light of last season really aside from the emergence of Michael Hector.

HAVE YOU BEEN IMPRESSED WITH THE ADDITIONS MADE DURING THE SUMMER BREAK?

I have, yes. I think we still have a bit more work to do as we lost a lot players during the off season as well as loans going back to their parent clubs. We are looking for leaders, experienced players and a bit of creativity to compliment our youth which I think Clarke has ensured with the signings of Stephen Quinn, Paul McShane and more recently Andrew Taylor.

ARE THERE ANY AREAS YOU FEEL STILL NEED STRENGTHENING?

Definitely up front. We have signed Orlando Sa but we still lack a bit of pace up there. Ideally someone like Robert Beric or Frazier Campbell would be ideal, as well as looking at an attacking midfielder who can support the attack with creativity and goals from the middle.

ARE THERE ANY FIXTURES THAT YOU'RE PARTICULARLY LOOKING FORWARD TO?

I always look forward to a few local trips including Bristol City, Brentford and Fulham etc. otherwise we don't have any major rivalry so all fixtures equally. It would be good to judge ourselves against the big spenders in Derby and Middlesbrough.

WHICH OPPOSITION TEAM DO YOU HAVE HIGH HOPES FOR THIS SEASON?

Aside from Derby and Middlesbrough who have spent heavily on their squad, I think Brentford will go well again. Their philosophy around analysis and stats has worked in Denmark and with signings such as Lasse Vibe and Konstantin Kerschbaumer and others I can see them going well. They need to keep Andre Gray and Moses Odubajo mind you!. MK Dons will be a surprise as well with a few shrewd additions from Real Madrid Castilla!

WHICH PLAYERS AMONG YOUR SQUAD SHOULD WE BE LOOKING OUT FOR THIS TERM?

As Michael Hector came to prominence last season, I think he will continue to develop into a top centre back. I would say Tariq Fosu who sprung onto the scene last season at Derby, where he played 60 minutes and looked a very tricky winger. He has had a great pre-season and I think him and McCleary could be two great outlets for us this season.

WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'LL END UP AT THE END OF THE SEASON?

With our current squad I think we will finish around mid table. It is a season of building a team for tomorrow and going for it over the coming years. Saying that, if we can land Paolo Hurtado, Alex Fernandez and a couple of other players then we could be an outside bet for the play-offs.

George was also helpful in giving us his run-down on the upcoming campaign.

HOW DID YOU FEEL THE 14/15 SEASON WENT FOR YOUR TEAM?
Last year wasn't a good season for us, for various reasons. We finally finished a torrid campaign in 19th place, just above the relegation zone, which is obviously not a position we as a club and fan base want to be in again in 2015/16.

HAVE YOU BEEN IMPRESSED WITH THE ADDITIONS MADE DURING THE SUMMER BREAK?

Following last season's disappointment, we've added experienced players to the squad, all of which have played or had spells in England. Ali Al-Habsi and Jonathan Bond offer serious competition in the goalkeeping position, whilst the additions of Paul McShane and Andrew Taylor at the back adds experience and competition to the existing back four. In midfield, we've brought in Stephen Quinn from Hull, a versatile midfielder who can play both in the centre and on the wing, while Orlando Sa has been brought in in an attempt to boost our goal tally.

ARE THERE ANY AREAS YOU FEEL STILL NEED STRENGTHENING?

We're still after another striker, and a left winger to provide more competition for places. The lack of goals is so apparent, so a creative, attacking midfielder is also something we should address before the window closes. If we can get some guys in in those positions, I think we can challenge for the play-offs again.

ARE THERE ANY FIXTURES THAT YOU'RE PARTICULARLY LOOKING FORWARD TO?

I come from Leeds, so any away fixtures in and around the Yorkshire area I'll be trying my best to get to. Other than that, there are a lot of decent teams in the league again this year, so I'll say that games against Middlesbrough, Fulham and Derby will bring some good opposition players to the Madejski.

WHICH OPPOSITION TEAM DO YOU HAVE HIGH HOPES FOR THIS SEASON?

'High hopes' might be wording it slightly differently. I can't say I'm actively wanting other teams to do particularly well, but Leeds are a club I always look out for. Derby have added well, and have a good manager so they should be in for a good season. I'd like Preston to stay up too.

WHICH PLAYERS AMONG YOUR SQUAD SHOULD WE BE LOOKING OUT FOR THIS TERM?

Michael Hector is a young centre back who will surely play in the Premier League in the future. He's still prone to the odd mistake, but it's generally the case that when he plays well, we look quite solid defensively. Going forward, the German-born American midfielder Danny Williams will be the driving force in the centre of the park, and we'll be in for a decent season if he can reach the level of performances that he's capable of.

WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'LL END UP AT THE END OF THE SEASON?

Tough to say, but if I had to call it as of right now I'll think we'll just miss out on the play-offs. Top half though, I'll go for 11th.

Michael was up next with his preview for the Royals' season.

HOW DID YOU FEEL THE 14/15 SEASON WENT FOR YOUR TEAM?

The season was a poor season and a lot of hard work is now being done to challenge for promotion this time round.  Adkins tried to make us play possession based football but ultimately, we just leaked goals.

HAVE YOU BEEN IMPRESSED WITH THE ADDITIONS MADE DURING THE SUMMER BREAK?

Yes I am very excited with the Mediterranean and South American flair being added. Hurtado coming in and seeing Sa in action is great news,  and unlike us as a club. Clarke has a great pull on players.

ARE THERE ANY AREAS YOU FEEL STILL NEED STRENGTHENING?

Up front,  we need a 20 goal striker such as Beric.

ARE THERE ANY FIXTURES THAT YOU'RE PARTICULARLY LOOKING FORWARD TO?

Derby, Leeds, QPR, Hull due to Quinn and McShane.

WHICH OPPOSITION TEAM DO YOU HAVE HIGH HOPES FOR THIS SEASON?

QPR have added a good bunch,  as have Derby. Burnley should be strong again and I also think Rotherham will be dark horses.

WHICH PLAYERS AMONG YOUR SQUAD SHOULD WE BE LOOKING OUT FOR THIS TERM?

Hurtado when he signs, Mccleary, Ferdinand, Fosu.

WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'LL END UP AT THE END OF THE SEASON?

I am being optimistic and aiming for 2nd, with the additions and Clarke as manager seems achievable.

Elliott is up next with his thoughts & hopes for Reading this season.

HOW DID YOU FEEL THE 14/15 SEASON WENT FOR YOUR TEAM?

Firstly I'd like to say league wise last season was extremely disappointing, no fight, no spirit absolutely nothing. However all of that fight and spirit seemed to come in our FA cup run. It was an absolutely fantastic run that really just put something out for us fans to get over a truly terrible league campaign. In particular we were absolutely class in our FA cup semi final.

HAVE YOU BEEN IMPRESSED WITH THE ADDITIONS MADE DURING THE SUMMER BREAK?

I've been overall quite impressed with our additions to the squad. Stephen Quinn and Paul McShane were early additions that really looked fantastic, and I believe Jonathan bond in particular will really come through the ranks as a young keeper and have a fantastic season with many more to come being one for the future too! Orlando Sa if fit can be lethal and hopefully he'll contribute very well to the squad this season.

ARE THERE ANY AREAS YOU FEEL STILL NEED STRENGTHENING?

I feel we need to add a creative midfielder and another striker. For example someone like Gylfi Sigurdsson who was a pivotal part of the reading team when he was with us. We need that creative midfield maestro as well as another 'Shane long'. Someone who will score 20-25 goals a season and really guide us through the season. Defensively we look solid as a rock but our end product let us down many the occasion last season and is something that still I personally feel needs to be strengthened.

ARE THERE ANY FIXTURES THAT YOU'RE PARTICULARLY LOOKING FORWARD TO?

Obviously I'm looking forward to the opening 5/6 games to give us a great stead and an idea for the season. I'm looking forward to Bristol city away being a more local game as well as QPR home and away and towards the back end of the season I see Blackburn on the final day being a huge one.

WHICH OPPOSITION TEAM DO YOU HAVE HIGH HOPES FOR THIS SEASON?

I believe Derby and Middlesbrough will be class this season taking both automatic promotion places. Keeping core team unity and spending wisely it's going to be exciting seasons for both of them.

WHICH PLAYERS AMONG YOUR SQUAD SHOULD WE BE LOOKING OUT FOR THIS TERM?

Players I think will really be ones to watch this season are Michael hector, Garath McCleary, Tariqe Fosu and Paolo Hurtado. Hector did not put a foot wrong last season and has another big campaign ahead after a fantastic gold cup for Jamaica. As with McCleary who also represented Jamaica at the gold cup this summer. He is one of those players that can solely change a game and win games and be the difference. Tariqe Fosu is an extremely big talent just waiting to get his chance to really shine this season and Paolo Hurtado looks like a class signing if it does come through, which it looks likely too. It's important that he plays a big role as someone who can clearly cause a lot of damage, get him going and he won't look back.

WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'LL END UP AT THE END OF THE SEASON?

If we can get off to a good start I feel extremely positive, I think we will get promoted via the play-offs this season with a 3rd place finish. I'm extremely excited to see where things go this season and I'm hopeful for a bounce back from a poor last season. We are a team to watch this year!

Rob was next up giving us an insight into his hopes for the coming season.

HOW DID YOU FEEL THE 14/15 SEASON WENT FOR YOUR TEAM?

Apart from the incredible FA Cup run and trip to Wembley, it was probably the least enjoyable season in 13 years of supporting Reading. Time and again we failed to produce convincing performances, and struggled to find the net on numerous occasions. The championship campaign was really a miserable one, and hopefully we will not see a repeat this year.

HAVE YOU BEEN IMPRESSED WITH THE ADDITIONS MADE DURING THE SUMMER BREAK?

I think Steve Clarke has done so really astute business this year. The captures of Stephen Quinn and Paul McShane on free transfers from Hull were real signs of the ambition we have this season. Added to that, we've brought in Orlando Sa for £1 million from Legia Warsaw, where he found the net 13 times last season. Following the departure of Adam Federici, the goalkeeping department has been restructured, with new coaching stuff coming on, as well as the arrivals of Ali Al-Habsi and Jonathan Bond, the promising England under-21 goalkeeper.

ARE THERE ANY AREAS YOU FEEL STILL NEED STRENGTHENING?

Absolutely. Our strike force has still looked very light during pre-season. Main strikers at the club, Pogrebnyak and Sa, are both a similar type of striker, and neither are as prolific as we need to be able to mount a serious promotion challenge. A quick striker and a 20 goal a season striker would both be very welcome. Also, our wingers aren't looking particularly strong, as McCleary is out injured until September, and Hal Robson-Kanu is inconsistent at best.

ARE THERE ANY FIXTURES THAT YOU'RE PARTICULARLY LOOKING FORWARD TO?

Birmingham away on the opening day is one I'm very excited about, but when the fixtures came out I was very excited about renewing our rivalry with the Fake Hoops (QPR). Fulham away is always a good away day as well and we should take a good following. When Leeds are in town there is always a rowdy atmosphere, so I'm looking forward to that one as well, which is our opening home game, on August 16.

WHICH OPPOSITION TEAM DO YOU HAVE HIGH HOPES FOR THIS SEASON?

I don't want them to do well, but I can certainly see Derby and Middlesbrough challenging again this season, given the recruitments they've made. I reckon Bristol City could surprise a few as well, they'll definitely be a different test to the side that went down a few years ago.

WHICH PLAYERS AMONG YOUR SQUAD SHOULD WE BE LOOKING OUT FOR THIS TERM?

I'm really excited about Stephen Quinn, he could be the driving force behind our team this year. As ever, Garath McCleary remains a threat to any defence, and is probably the best player in the Championship when he's at his best, in my opinion. Our academy has always been fruitful, and youngsters breaking into the first team, notably Tariq Fosu and Dominic Samuel, could both be hugely influential this term.

WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'LL END UP AT THE END OF THE SEASON?

Following the disappointment of last year, it's easy to see why some are writing us off as mid-table mediocrity, however writing us off is always a dangerous game. I'll stick my neck out and say that we will be top six this year. We're much changed from last year's dull, predictable, goal-shy team.

And finally, last but not least here are the thoughts of Reading fan Dean.

HOW DID YOU FEEL THE 14/15 SEASON WENT FOR YOUR TEAM?

The 14/15 season was a very stale affair for my team Reading FC. It started off brightly but with a lack of funds throughout and poor team morale it ended with Nigel Adkins sacked after a 6-1 defeat to Birmingham. Steve Clarke came in and made us harder to beat but the points still were not coming and we became incredibly inconsistent with a 3-0 loss to Huddersfield yet a 3-0 victory at Derby. The only real positive from last year was the continued development of Michael Hector but more importantly the Fa Cup Semi Final to Arsenal at Wembley. A real highlight of the last 10 years for royals.

HAVE YOU BEEN IMPRESSED WITH THE ADDITIONS MADE DURING THE SUMMER BREAK?

I have been impressed with some of the players brought in this summer. Jonathan Bond in my opinion is a perfect goalkeeper to replace Adam Federici as he has a future ahead of him after playing for England U21s. Arguably our best bit of business was the free transfers of Quinn and McShane from Hull City who will strengthen the team. Orlando Sa is a striker from Portugal and that one is very much up in the air as to whether he will be a successful summer signing.

ARE THERE ANY AREAS YOU FEEL STILL NEED STRENGTHENING?

I feel the wing and striker positions need to be strengthened. Supposedly Paolo Hurtado is coming in from Pacos Ferriera which will solve the left wing area. But what we desperately need this season is goals. We struggle to create let alone score but our main priority has to be an out and out goalscorer. Having been linked to Robert Beric and Clayton Donaldson were clearly trying hard to find a goalscorer..

ARE THERE ANY FIXTURES THAT YOU'RE PARTICULARLY LOOKING FORWARD TO?

Everyone has personal fixtures but the fixtures I am sure most Reading fans are looking forward to is Fulham, Bristol City, Cardiff, Brentford and QPR all away. The main reason for this is the wealthy crowd that these games bring as well as QPR claiming to be the real hoops when everyone knows they are the fake hoops. Leeds at home is also a tasty affair.

WHICH OPPOSITION TEAM DO YOU HAVE HIGH HOPES FOR THIS SEASON?

I think that Wolves will surprise a few. I think in Benik Afobe they have an out and out goalscorer. Adding Le Fondre's and Dicko's goals to that they will be an exciting team to watch and last year they had one of the best defences in the league so I think that they will be a force to be reckoned with next year.

WHICH PLAYERS AMONG YOUR SQUAD SHOULD WE BE LOOKING OUT FOR THIS TERM?

We have a few younger guys who look promising. Michael Hector is a centre back and played in the gold cup for Jamaica this summer. He got man of the match at Wembley for us and at the age of 23 is excelling. Tarique Fosu is another young gun and can play on either wing, he is probably the most exciting prospect we have at the moment and has the force and drive to take players on and get a good delivery into the box. Tshibola is another one to watch out for, playing at cm. He was on loan at Hartlepool last year and helped there great escape and he has come back bigger and better.

WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'LL END UP AT THE END OF THE SEASON?

I would like to think that with 2-3 more signings we'll be pushing for top 6. This may be a season to early for that at the moment so I'll go with a reluctant 9th.
