FAN'S VIEW: LEEDS UNITED SEASON PREVIEW

Leeds United blogger Rob (Life, Leeds United, the Universe & Everything) was kind enough to offer up his thoughts ahead of the 2015/16 season.

HOW DID YOU FEEL THE 14/15 SEASON WENT FOR YOUR TEAM?

Leeds United did very well not to be relegated after enduring a Whitehall farce of a season with numerous changes of management, unwarranted interference from the owner to disrupt things if they ever went smoothly and several areas of the squad lacking in quality. In the end, staying in the Championship was a respectable outcome.

HAVE YOU BEEN IMPRESSED WITH THE ADDITIONS MADE DURING THE SUMMER BREAK?

Yes, very. Wood will add a new dimension up top, and at last we have a wide player in Dallas who can not only provide quality service from the wing, but also cut in from the left onto his favoured right foot, to devastating effect.

ARE THERE ANY AREAS YOU FEEL STILL NEED STRENGTHENING?

Central defence, centre midfield and wide right could all be areas to reinforce, though existing options aren't bad. A right winger in particular could free up Sam Byram to revert to right back and overlap to support the attack.

ARE THERE ANY FIXTURES THAT YOU'RE PARTICULARLY LOOKING FORWARD TO?

None in particular. I'm sure they're all looking forward to us!

WHICH OPPOSITION TEAM DO YOU HAVE HIGH HOPES FOR THIS SEASON?

Huddersfield Town. I have high hopes they'll return to their natural level in the third tier.

WHICH PLAYERS AMONG YOUR SQUAD SHOULD WE BE LOOKING OUT FOR THIS TERM?

Sam Byram, Lewis Cook, Chris Wood and Alex Mowatt should all kick on. And at the youth level, there's a lad called Ronaldo Viera, who promises much by his name alone.

WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'LL END UP AT THE END OF THE SEASON?

Heart says play-offs. Head tells heart not to be so sentimentally stupid and plumps boringly for 10th.
