FAN'S VIEW: BLACKBURN ROVERS SEASON PREVIEW

We asked @tweetrovers some questions about the coming campaign for Rovers.

HOW DID YOU FEEL THE 14/15 SEASON WENT FOR YOUR TEAM?

I feel the season was a major disappointment given that we had two of the best strikers in the league and that our team had played together for a couple of seasons. I think any realistic expectations would of been for a play-off finish after coming so close the year before.

HAVE YOU BEEN IMPRESSED WITH THE ADDITIONS MADE DURING THE SUMMER BREAK?

Given the players we have lost and the price tags we achieved for them, I personally think the gaffer has done a great job in recruiting Guthrie and Delfouneso, they bring a wealth of experience to the championship and I'm happy a deal has been agreed with both players. You have to remember we are under a strict transfer embargo so it was never going to be an easy task. Keeping Rhodes has to be key if we are to give a real play-off push which to the credit of the Venky's they have been very firm thus far.

ARE THERE ANY AREAS YOU FEEL STILL NEED STRENGTHENING?

If you look at the past two seasons we have leaked far too many goals. The likes of Killgalon and Hanley really do need to start performing more consistently, if we concede as many as the previous seasons we really do stand no hope. Also the loss of Cairney and local lad Dunny leaves particularly short of a creative midfield player.

ARE THERE ANY FIXTURES THAT YOU'RE PARTICULARLY LOOKING FORWARD TO?

Burnley, need I say more. Also the prospect of sparring with Preston excites me being a local derby it should be a great turn out and top atmosphere.

WHICH OPPOSITION TEAM DO YOU HAVE HIGH HOPES FOR THIS SEASON?

Middlesbrough have been splashing the cash whilst QPR, Derby and Hull all have very strong squads this term.

WHICH PLAYERS AMONG YOUR SQUAD SHOULD WE BE LOOKING OUT FOR THIS TERM?

With the loss of Gestede id be hoping for more goals from midfield, I thinks Craig Conway is one to watch whilst I'm hopeful we'll see the best from Marshall. Rhodes record speaks for itself, his goals are critical for how we finish in the league.

WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'LL END UP AT THE END OF THE SEASON?

Given the embargo and the loss of key players I worried that the play-offs are a bit to far away this season, however have no real expectations may turn out to be a blessing in disguise. It really is the league where anyone can beat anyone.
