Marlon Harewood has signed a short term deal with Championship side Nottingham Forest.
The 32 year old, most recently with Chinese side Guangzhou R&F, has agreed a four month contract at the club where he notched over fifty goals in 180 appearances.
Forest boss Steve Cotterill spoke to BBC Radio Nottingham about the surprise move, "He has been here now for six weeks [training] or so but we haven't been able to get him involved in a friendly."
"We are pleased to sort a deal."
Harewood started his career at Nottingham Forest, graduating through their youth set up to make his debut for the club in 1998. He signed for West Ham five years later before spells with Aston Villa, Blackpool, Barnsley, Newcastle and Wolves.
