NORTHAMPTON TOWN FC: ASANTE SIGNS ON LOAN

Aidy Boothroyd has moved to strengthem his Northampton Town side ahead of the January transfer window with the acquisition of young striker Akwasi Asante from Birmingham City.

The Cobblers boss described the 19 year old as, "a handful", "young, hungry" and with "a lot of pace".

The youngster made his debut for Birmingham in their Europa clash with Nacional in the summer but has struggled for a run of games so far this season.
