Scunthorpe United's Jordan Robertson could return to the first team earlier than expected after making a quick recovery from a broken ankle.
Initial reports suggested the 23 year old would be out of action until the end of the year but manager Alan Knill has been impressed with his striker's recovery.
"I saw him jogging around the training ground on Monday, which is good. When you speak to Jordan, in his mind he's coming back way before everybody thinks. It was supposed to be xmas time, but Jord seems to think end of November. We'll wait and see."
Robertson made just two appearances for the Iron before sustaining the injury and Knill is keen for fans to see him in action on a consistent basis, "He's jogging now, so hopefully there are no problems and it will be a lot quicker than we all expected. The good thing is, he wants to be back. And I think we've missed him."
"You need a platform to build on if your passing game's not right, so the ball stays at the top end of the pitch. When you do need something bigger, then we've missed Jordan."
