REDDITCH UNITED: MCKENZIE SACKED

Redditch United have confirmed that Josh McKenzie will never play for the club again after an incident in their clash with Chesham United on Saturday.

It is alleged that the striker punched the referee after a penalty was awarded to Chesham during the second half of the game. The game was called off soon after the incident.

A statement issued by the Reds said, "He will never play for the club again. We pride ourselves on fair play and will not tolerate this."

Reports in the local media suggest that McKenzie also damaged a dressing room door after the game and was seen leaving the ground in a police van, Thames Valley Police have confirmed that a man was arrested following the match.

It's not known whether the fixture will be replayed.
