LEEDS UNITED: CLUB RESPONDS TO NEWSPAPER REPORT

Leeds United have issued a statement on their official website in response to an article printed in The Sun newspaper at the weekend regarding manager Simon Grayson's private life.

The initial article, published on Saturday, read, "Leeds United boss Simon Grayson has left his wife, after having an affair with a club employee."

The club's response was short and sweet, "Further to a story in The Sun newspaper ... regarding our manager Simon Grayson, the club would like to stress that this is a private matter for our manager and on that basis it would not be appropriate for us to comment further."

Grayson took over as manager at Leeds United in 2008 following the departure of Gary McAllister.
