Notts County youngster Curtis Thompson today signed his first professional contract with the club.
The 18 year old, primarily a midfielder but also comfortable in defence, has made one appearance for the Magpies this season, coming on as a substitute in their Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash with Chesterfield last week.
County boss Martin Allen is pleased with how the youngster has developed in such a short space of time, "Curtis has shown great dedication, great determination and no end of quality since I've been here. He really is pushing forwards towards the first team."
Thompson is the fourth Notts County youngster to be handed a professional contract by Martin Allen. Haydn Hollis, George Nicholas and Liam Mitchell are all also on deals until 2013.
