IPSWICH TOWN FC: EDWARDS IN COURT

Ipswich Town midfielder Carlos Edwards has today plead guilty to driving whilst disqualified and without insurance.

The 32 year old was arrested last month as he drove his daughter to school after his wife had just given birth to premature twins the evening before.

A statement on Ipswich's official website at the time of his arrest read, "We can confirm that Carlos Edwards was arrested for driving while disqualified on Monday, September 26th. We understand there are significant mitigating circumstances but this is now a matter for the police and we will be making no frther comment until due process is complete."

This is not the first time Edwards has been in trouble with the police for driving offences, in the summer he was banned for driving for twelve months and fined £7,000 for driving without a valid licence, without insurance and without a MOT.
