GILLINGHAM FC: NOUBLE WANTS TO STAY WITH GILLS

Frank Nouble says he would like to extend his loan deal with League Two Gilingham when the initial spell expires at the weekend.

The 20 year old has made four appearaces for the Gills so far, scoring twice and says he is enjoying playing week in, week out.

"At the minute I am happy with the way things are going. It's not a case of me saying I don't want to be here, definitely not, I am enjoying my time here. Whether it is extended or not, I am not sure. All I can look forward to is Torquay [next league fixture] and hopefully do really well there, get a win, and then be closer to the top of the table."

Nouble had been restricted to just a handful of appearances for his parent club West Ham and hopes his temporary spell with Andy Hessenthaler's men will force Hammers' boss Sam Allardyce to consider him in the future.

"I just want to play and do well and the manager has already backed me by saying he wants me to stay. You can't go wrong if you have a manager that wants you to play. You just want to repay the favour."
