DAGENHAM & REDBRIDGE: WILLIAMS TO UNDERGO SURGERY

Sam Williams is set to undergo surgery on a knee injury this week, which will result in him missing up to eight weeks of football.

The Dagenham & Redbridge striker was substituted in the win over Crewe Alexandra and is not expected to go under the knife.

"He's definitely done his cartilage and it could be ligament damage as well, they want the swelling to go down before they make a decision on that. He'll see the specialise on Monday and hopefully have his operation on Tuesday or Wednesday," Daggers boss John Still said.

Williams has been impressive this season, scoring three goals.
