The 20 year old has been with the Latics since the age of sixteen but has made just a handful of appearances for the club. He will link up with Ian Holloway's side in the hope of gaining first team match experience.
Wigan boss Roberto Martinez said, "Callum is a vital player for the future of our football club and now we must fulfil his needs in order for him to reach his outstanding potential by playing Championship football, which will be the perfect challenge to test all the good things that he's been working on over the last few months."
The striker should make his debut for Blackpool in their game against Doncaster Rovers tomorrow night.
