Accring Stanley have announced plans to offers fans the chance to own a slice of the football club.
Chairman Ilyas Khan has floated the idea of releasing 9,999 shares in the club in the hope of raising £1million to fund a new stadium.
Speaking to The Citizen newspaper Mr Khan said, "Accrington is one of England's best loved and most historic footballing towns. It was one of the 12 founders of the football league in 1888 and has phenomenal support worldwide. To own a share in Stanley is to own a piece of real football history."
Perks of being a shareholder at the club will include the ability to vote at annual general meetings and will be a huge step towards making Stanley a community owned club.
It is understood that the first shares will be offered for sale at the next home fixture against Cheltenham Town.
