WEYMOUTH FC: TERRAS MISS OUT ON STRIKER

Weymouth have revealed that striker Dan Broadway has rejected a contract offer from them.

Manager Brendon King had been looking to strengthen his side but in an interview with the Dorset Echo explained that the Broadway deal was now dead in the water.

"I played with Russell [Muskey, AFC Stoke Gabriel manager] at Weymouth back in the early 1990's and he recommended Dan to me but unfortunately it has not come off. Quite a few clubs have been interested in him and Tiverton have made him an offer he cannot refuse."

Despite the disappointment King assures fans a striker is still their priority after managing just nine goals all season.

"We have been looking at another forward too and we are hopeful that something can still be done with him. The lad in question is still young, has bags of pace and an eye for goal, and he also has a decent pedigree but we'll just have to wait and see."
