PLYMOUTH ARGYLE: SAFETY STILL WITHIN REACH FOR PILGRIMS?

Kevin Heaney, the man at the centre of a takeover bid for League Two side Plymouth Argyle has insisted the talks aimed at closing a deal for the club have not stalled.

Heaney, the current Truro City chairman, states he is looking toward the Football League to make the next move, "Everything the administrators have asked of us, we have done. We have to wait for the Football League."

There are reports that Plymouth's current chairman Peter Ridsdale is in talks with other consortiums looking to buy the beleaguered Devon club.

Despite question marks surrounding Heaney's other commitments, notably Evo Stik Southern side Truro City, he insists his aim is simple, "All I'm trying to do is save Plymouth Argyle Football Club from liquidation."
