Nuneaton Town goalkeeper Danny Alcock has revealed his shock at some of the comments coming from fans, aimed at manager Kevin Wilkin.
After an inconsistent start to the new season fans have understandably being voicing their opinions of fan forums and message board but Alcock says some of the posts are unhelpful and distracting.
"We are all 100 per cent behind the manager. I do read the forums and I can't believe some of the comments. The fans have been great since I've been here but there have been a lot of negative comments."
Nuneaton are currently 12th in the Blue Square North and have taken just eight points from their opening seven fixtures. Alcock thinks their impressive performances last term have prompted the criticisms from fans this season.
"We did so well last year and the two years before I was here. Not many people expected us to be so good last year. We've had one or two bad results but that doesn't mean it's all over."
Alcock is still struggling with a shoulder injury so won't feature in Town's game at Vauxhall Motors on Saturday.
