KETTERING TOWN: POPPIES ADMISSION PRICES CUT

Kettering Town chairman Imraan Ladak has taken a big step in his plans to attract more fans to Nene Park by cutting the admission costs by up to 60%.

Before the move Poppies fans were forking out £18 for adult tickets and £7 for children, new measures introduced by Ladak have seen prices fall to £12 and £4 respectively.

Kettering had already seen an improvement in ticket sales during pre-season where more than 1,000 fans took up their summer season ticket deal. Ladak however is hoping to attract many more.

"I think the main obstacle for many people is the price of tickets, but we want to change that and help make watching football more affordable. I believe this cut in ticket prices, alongside success on the field, could lead to a gradual rise in attendances and create a real buzz at home."

"It is clear that many supporters who have not bought a season ticket have struggled with the standard match day prices. I hope this deal will attract greater attendances as well as build on our fan base for future generations."

Kettering's last home game resulted in a defeat to Fleetwood Town, attendance at the match was 1,209.
