Port Vale boss Micky Adams has discussed adding new players to his squad following the news of a sizeable investment coming into the club.
Pennsylvania based business, Blue Sky International, are set to inject £5 million into the Valians over the next 12 months, starting with a £400,000 initial investment. The remaining £4.6 million is expected to be used in developing the team's training facilities and putting finishing touches to Vale Park.
Speaking to BBC Radio Stoke Adams said, "If I think there's a player that can improve the team, I'm sure they'll be open minded to that suggestion. What I don't want to do is bring someone in just for the sake of it."
Adams, a recent paid up member of the board of directors at Vale, welcomed the investment by Blue Sky International, "It gives us a welcome boost and from a community point of view I can see it doing great things if they deliver everything that they've promised."
Despite Adams' optimism, Dave Felstead of the Port Vale Supporters' Club was reluctant to get too excited just yet, "The headline figure is very exciting, but we reserve judgement until we have seen the detail."
"The detail is what people will want to know because we have had so many false dawns in recent years."
