A tribunal has decided that Huddersfield Town will have to pay an initial £275,000 for the transfer of Oscar Gobern from Southampton.
The fee could eventually rise to £400,000 dependant on a series of clauses.
The 20 year old moved to the Galpharm during the summer after failing to agree a new contract with the Saints and Huddersfield chief executive Nigel Clibbens is happy they now have a resolution to the matter.
"We are happy that Oscar can now concentrate on his football and his embryonic career at Huddersfield Town."
Gobern has featured in 4 of Huddersfield's opening league games this term.
