Billy Brown, the former Bradford City, Kilmarnock and Falkirk assistant manager, is a target for Hibs boss Colin Calderwood.
Hibernian have been without a number two since Derek Adams left the club to manage Scottish First Division side Ross County in the summer and Calderwood has confirmed that talks have taken place between himself and Brown.
"His knowledge and his experience and pedigree of doing well in this league is something that would be a huge help to me and this club" Calderwood said of Brown.
