Celtic's Europa League hopes seem to have survived a challenge by FC Sion.
Neil Lennon's men crashed out of the Europa League after a 3-1 aggregate defeat to Sion on August 25th. They were however reinstated to the competition after Celtic complained about the Swiss side's fielding of players acquired whilst they were under transfer restrictions.
Sion attempted to have the decision overturned but a Swiss court has today revealed they have no jurisdiction to host any forthcoming court case.
"According to applicable law, the dispute does not have sufficiently close links with the canton of Valais to have a basis of jurisdiction with the local judicial authorities Valais. The measures sought by the applicant were exclusively against Uefa, who have headquarters in Nyon." read a statement.
Sion now have a deadline of 11pm this evening for them to appeal the ruling.
