Brighton midfielder Craig Noone can't wait to get started in the Seagulls cup fixture with Liverpool this evening.
The former Plymouth Argyle man says Reds' captain Steven Gerrard is an idol of his and he can't wait to line up against his at the Amex tonight.
"When I was playing non league football for Southport I had a day job as a roofer and Stevie Gerrard was getting a conversion done. He was building a games room and gym on the back of his house and I was working on it, luckily for me. When I was working on his roof I dreamt about playing against him and now it could be happening it's a bit surreal."
"I just hope that I will be selected and that he is fit enough to play because he's the number one Liverpool player of my generation, and I look up to him like every other Liverpool fan looks up to him."
Noone signed for Brighton in January after spending three years with Plymouth Argyle. He started his career with Evo Stik Northern League Division One side Skelmersdale United.
