Histon boss David Livermore was quick to praise his players even though they were defeated 3-2 by Nuneaton Town last night.
The Stutes gave a battling performance against their Blue Square North rivals, twice coming from behind to level the game at 2-2 before Danny Glover snatched victory late on.
"It was a great game for the supporters and there were lots of chances for both teams. Obviously I'm disappointed with the outcome but we showed great character to come from behind twice. So it respects it was disappointing, but there are more positives than negatives."
Lewis Taaffe and Daniel Sparkes both scored in the game to keep hope alive for Histon but they couldn't hold out for the full ninety minutes.
"It's a hard one to take because we've come away to an experienced Conference North side and put a lot of effort in and created lots of chances. I've told the lads that we'll play worse than that away from home and get a good result." Livermore continued.
