INTERVIEW: JAMIE WHISKEN [POOLE TOWN]

We interviewed Poole Town defender Jamie Whisken earlier on in the summer. Read his responses to our bite size interview below.

How do you feel last season went for the club?
I felt the club was unlucky last year, we finished one place outside the play offs after having three points deducted for fielding an ineligible player. We also just missed out on reaching the first round proper of the FA cup after conceding a wonder goal. Luck didn't seem to be with us.
What were some of the highs and lows of the 2013/14 campaign for you personally?
A high for me personally was being named club captain, always a nice role to have and it's a pleasure to wear the armband. The low has to be getting knocked out of the FA cup.
How has pre-season gone for you on a personal level so far?
Pre season has gone well for me personally, thought it may have been hard after spending the summer break in Brazil for the World Cup, but I'm back, have worked hard and am as fit as ever and raring to go.
We're quickly approaching the 2014/15 kick-off, what are you looking forward to most this season?

I'm looking forward to being in the mix at the top end of the table come the end of the season. Also the FA cup, the competition every footballer loves to play in.
