INTERVIEW: JACK LEWIS [PRESTATYN TOWN]

Defender Jack Lewis with Welsh Premier League side Prestatyn Town spoke with us recently about the 13/14 season and the current 14/15 campaign.

How do you feel last season went for the club?
Last season was hugely disappointing in terms of our league position, after reaching the second qualifying round of the Europa League and winning our first three games of the season to finish second from bottom and only be saved from relegation by a team from the league below not having the criteria to be promoted is something I hope was a one off.
What were some of the highs and lows of the 2013/14 campaign for you personally?
Winning in Europe was the massive high of my whole career and to do it with lads I've known since school made it even more memorable, also winning fans player of the season was a huge personal achievement. I was sent off after 40 mins in a crucial must win game with four games to go to the end of the season for a tackle that even the opposition's manager said was a perfectly timed and fair tackle sitting in the changing rooms waiting for the rest of my team mates to come in at half time was the lowest I felt all season.
How has pre-season gone for you on a personal level so far?
Pre-season has been the best I've had in my career, our manager and assistant manager have really done their home work and spoke to their contacts with clubs like Everton, Norwich City and Tranmere and you can see that it is really paying off. The lads and myself all look and feel a lot sharper going into this season.

We're quickly approaching the 2014/15 kick-off, what are you looking forward to most this season?
Putting right what went wrong last season and also our derby games around Christmas.
