CHESTER FC: YOUNG WANTS MCGINN FULL TIME

Chester boss Neil Young has stated his intention to bring on loan defender Matty McGinn to the club on a permanent contract.

The 28 year old has just returned to Southport after a short spell on loan with the Blues and manager Neil Young is looking into the possibility of bringing him back to Chester.

"We'd like to try and bring Matty in as he's done very well for us. I've always said I'd wait until his loam came to an end before I talked to Southport and the player, to allow Matty to concentrate firmly on his football. I'd like to do that over the weekend to see where we're at and see if the lad wants to stay."

McGinn notched six goals in seven appearances for Chester, despite playing in a left back position.
