HARTLEPOOL FC: NEW POOLS BOSS CONFIRMED

Neale Cooper has been confirmed as the new manager of League One side Hartlepool United.

The 48 year old managed the club in the early 2000s and says he is thrilled to have been handed the reigns for a second time, "When you talk about Christmas presents, what a fantastic one this is for me."

"It's so exciting and I can't wait to get stuck in and meet the lads," Cooper told the club's official website.

Mick Wadsworth was relieved of his duties at Hartlepool earlier this month after a poor run of form.
