SHEFFIELD UNITED: BLADES FACE COMPETITION FOR FLECK

Rangers midfielder John Fleck is attracting interest from Championship side Blackpool.

The 20 year old was expected to ink a loan spell with Sheffield United this week following the collapse of a temporary switch in the summer, but Ian Holloway's side have now emerged as favourites to take the youngster on loan.

The Scottish Premier League side's official website read, "John Fleck could also end up in Yorkshire, although Blackpool are also interested in the midfield star."

Rangers are keen for Fleck to continue his development, and with first team opportunities hard to come by at Ibrox a move down South looks likely.

RANGERS: BLADES RETURN FOR FLECK

Sheffield United are expected to complete a loan move for Rangers midfielder John Fleck this week.

The 20 year old was set to sign for the Blades in the summer but the paperwork for the move failed to arrive in time during the transfer window.

Fleck has struggled to break into the Scottish Premier League side's first team this season and manager Ally McCoist believes a move away from the club will benefit the youngster.

"I have had a chat with Flecky and we both feel that it's really important that he gets games and starts to play regularly."
