FAN'S VIEW: PETERBOROUGH UNITED SEASON PREVIEW

We picked the brain of Peterborough United fan Josh ahead of the big kick off today.

HOW DID YOU FEEL THE 14/15 SEASON WENT FOR YOUR TEAM?

The 2014/15 season was a disappointment. As a Peterborough United fan I'm used to entertainment one way or another each season and to have lost more games than we won simply wasn't good enough. We were lacking the 20+ goal a season striker that we were so used to seeing.

HAVE YOU BEEN IMPRESSED WITH THE ADDITIONS MADE DURING THE SUMMER BREAK?

I have been impressed with the club's  additions this summer. Jack Collison, an established international and premier league player will offer the bite and technical ability we've been missing in midfield, and Joe Gormley looks as if he could be up there with the very best goalscorers in the Football League this season. The other recruits such as Angol, Coulibaly, Sadlier and Fox also look as if they'll provide a lot of competition for our current squad. 

ARE THERE ANY AREAS YOU FEEL STILL NEED STRENGTHENING?

I'm not sure we need to strengthen further. The striker that we've needed is here and the experience and flair alongside Michael Bostwick has also arrived in Joe Gormley. We have plenty of cover in most areas and I'm confident of a good campaign. 

ARE THERE ANY FIXTURES THAT YOU'RE PARTICULARLY LOOKING FORWARD TO?

I'm looking forward to facing Wigan and Blackpool in particular. Recent FA Cup winners Wigan will provide a huge test and Blackpool away always turns out to be a fantastic weekend - regardless of the result. 

WHICH OPPOSITION TEAM DO YOU HAVE HIGH HOPES FOR THIS SEASON?

I think Wigan will provide no surprises and be up there at the end of the campaign. They're a big club, with big funds and I expect them to certainly gain a play-off spot, or even one of the automatic promotion spots. I think Sheffield United will be up there the whole way as well as they always seem to be. 

WHICH PLAYERS AMONG YOUR SQUAD SHOULD WE BE LOOKING OUT FOR THIS TERM?

I think you should look out for new signings Jack Collison and Joe Gormley. They're 2 fantastic additions and will be key to a promotion push this year. Michael Bostwick, the recently announced captain is also a player that I think will shine. He provides the bite in midfield that every side needs and he can defend, and score crucial goals. Ricardo Santos the young centre back, recently tracked by Benfica, is also likely to have a big year alongside the ever reliable Gaby Zakuani.

WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'LL END UP AT THE END OF THE SEASON?

I think we will come 4th this year. If you offered me a play-off spot I'd certainly take it and there some big clubs in the league this season. It'll be a tough campaign but one I'm looking forward to!
