FAN'S VIEW: MANSFIELD TOWN SEASON PREVIEW

Stags' fan Michaela offered up her thoughts on the 2015/16 season for Mansfield Town.

HOW DID YOU FEEL THE 14/15 SEASON WENT FOR YOUR TEAM?

Pretty awful! We were very lucky to stay up in the end and were fortunate that the teams around us were playing equally as bad towards the end. Most of the season the football we were playing was very poor, we had a change in managers by December too which in my opinion was the right decision but he had a lot of work to do to keep us in the league with the squad he had inherited.

HAVE YOU BEEN IMPRESSED WITH THE ADDITIONS MADE DURING THE SUMMER BREAK?

Matt Green has re-signed for us, he was a key part of our promotion back into the Football League in the 2012/13 season and a bit of a Mansfield legend :), I'm very excited at the prospect of what he can help us achieve this season. I have been very impressed with the new signings, Shearer, Rose & Westcarr to name a few.

ARE THERE ANY AREAS YOU FEEL STILL NEED STRENGTHENING?

Last season our weakness was goalscoring, I feel quite confident from pre-season games that we have improved in this area but only time will tell if we need to invest in some more support in this area. Matt Green was a proven goalscorer for us in the Conference so hopefully he will be on top form this season again for us!

ARE THERE ANY FIXTURES THAT YOU'RE PARTICULARLY LOOKING FORWARD TO?

The first game of the season definitely and Notts County away next Friday. With County being relegated last season I think all Stags fans will agree they have been looking forward to playing them in the league again.

WHICH OPPOSITION TEAM DO YOU HAVE HIGH HOPES FOR THIS SEASON?

I think Portsmouth may do well this season.

WHICH PLAYERS AMONG YOUR SQUAD SHOULD WE BE LOOKING OUT FOR THIS TERM?

Super Matty Green!

WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'LL END UP AT THE END OF THE SEASON?

Realistically i think we should be aiming for mid table, although I wouldn't mind a cheeky play off run!
