We asked Bruce, a Crawley Town fan, about his club's prospects ahead of the new season.
HOW DID YOU FEEL THE 14/15 SEASON WENT FOR YOUR TEAM?
Last season was obviously disappointing but we weren't too surprised to go down given that we had John Gregory in charge initially. It hurt to go down on the last season because it was in our hands in the last two games and we failed.
HAVE YOU BEEN IMPRESSED WITH THE ADDITIONS MADE DURING THE SUMMER BREAK?
The summer additions haven't been very exciting but the defence is looking more solid than last season and I'm looking forward to seeing if local boy Shamir Fenelon can make an impact up front. Today the club announced we have signed van den Boagert, the Belgian left back impressed during pre season and we needed a left back so we're slowly getting towards having the players we need.
ARE THERE ANY AREAS YOU FEEL STILL NEED STRENGTHENING?
In my opinion we desperately need to strengthen in the attacking department. With the ongoing saga regarding last season's top scorer Izale McLeod it looks like we're going to need at least another striker. I very much doubt McLeod will play for us again and with the current strikers I can't see where the goals are going to come from!
ARE THERE ANY FIXTURES THAT YOU'RE PARTICULARLY LOOKING FORWARD TO?
Being an exile in Newcastle I am naturally looking forward to York, Carlisle and Hartlepool away. We enjoy a rivalry with AFC Kingston (Wimbledon) and Portsmouth away is of course another highlight.
WHICH OPPOSITION TEAM DO YOU HAVE HIGH HOPES FOR THIS SEASON?
My money is on Luton for the title, they have the structure and fans to push on and they have made some impressive signings like Craig Mackail-Smith who should score plenty in this league if he stays fit. Pompey and Oxford should be up there too.
WHICH PLAYERS AMONG YOUR SQUAD SHOULD WE BE LOOKING OUT FOR THIS TERM?
The ones to look out for are Shamir Fenelon, Sonny Bradley and Bryan van den Boagert.
WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'LL END UP AT THE END OF THE SEASON?
I'd be happy if we retained our league status given the current state of the club behind the scenes (ownership) and I think we are capable of doing it.
