FAN'S VIEW: BRADFORD CITY SEASON PREVIEW

Bradford City fan Gary offered to answer us a few questions about the Bantams' prospects ahead of the 2015/16 campaign.

HOW DID YOU FEEL THE 14/15 SEASON WENT FOR YOUR TEAM?

Even aside from an unbelievable run in the FA Cup, I thought we had a great season. We just missed out on the play-offs, which for our second season in League One is a great achievement.  There's been a great positive atmosphere around the club for the last few years but last season the atmosphere at Valley Parade and even at away games from the fans was something else.

HAVE YOU BEEN IMPRESSED WITH THE ADDITIONS MADE DURING THE SUMMER BREAK?

I think we've had a decent time in the transfer market.  It would have been great to secure Jon Stead but it's not the end of the world; his legs were starting to go. I'm pleased we've got some options on the wing now - an area I though we were lacking in previous seasons.

ARE THERE ANY AREAS YOU FEEL STILL NEED STRENGTHENING?

I feel we still need a keeper who we can really call our 'number 1'. Jussi Jaaskelainen was training with us and had been rumoured to sign - I'd welcome him with open arms.

ARE THERE ANY FIXTURES THAT YOU'RE PARTICULARLY LOOKING FORWARD TO?

Living in London, I naturally look forward to any fixtures in the South East. Having Millwall in the league will add some extra spice this year - they also do a cracking Balti Pie at The Den.  Without sounding like I'm looking for an easy answer; I'm looking forward to all home games this year.  Selling over 18,000 season tickets is just going to mean an electric atmosphere each game. I'll be travelling up for as many as I can.

WHICH OPPOSITION TEAM DO YOU HAVE HIGH HOPES FOR THIS SEASON?

I saw Millwall and Blackpool had been tipped to do well this season but I don't see either being up there myself.  Both clubs have had a tough time recently for different reasons and I can't see that changing in a strong League One.  Sheffield United will definitely be up there as I think will Swindon.

WHICH PLAYERS AMONG YOUR SQUAD SHOULD WE BE LOOKING OUT FOR THIS TERM?

We've made a lot of changes for this season, so it's difficult to say. James Hanson is always a threat - I was pleased that he decided to stay at the club.  Him and Billy Clarke could be a force to be reckoned with. At the back, nothing much gets past Rory McArdle - he's solid and holds our defence together.  He plays with a lot of fight and grit - something I like to see.

WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'LL END UP AT THE END OF THE SEASON?

I really want to see us in the play-offs at least at the end of the season.  We've improved year on year every season since Phil Parkinson has been in charge. He's the man that can get us promoted again.
