The 25 year old signed on a season long loan from Saint Etienne in the summer, but since the departure of former boss Sven Goran Eriksson in October he has struggled for first team opportunities.
A statement from the Championship side read, "The club will make every effort to facilitate this request subject to mutual cancellation terms being agreed with both parties."
