Hull City defender Jack Hobbs says he hopes the Tigers can hold onto James Chester in the January transfer window despite interest from a handful of Premier League sides.
The duo have helped their side to five victories in their previous seven matches and Hobbs was keen to reiterate the importance of his defensive partner, "He has been part of the foundation of the success that we've had and to keep hold of those kind of players is important if we want to keep looking up at those top two sports."
"Without a doubt he's a Premier League player of the future. You can tell he's been brought up through United [Manchester], the way that he plays and how comfortable he is on the ball."
Bolton are one of the clubs understood to be interested in the 22 year old and they are expected to test the Tigers' resolve with a bid for player next month with their own centre back, Gary Cahill, coveted by Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea.
