Fleetwood defender Paul Linwood is facing three months on the sidelines following a second operation on a persistent knee problem.
Manager Micky Mellon revealed the news in an interview with the Blackpool Gazette saying, "It is looking like Paul will be out for three months which is bad news for him and for us."
Mellon is expected to make a permanent move for Kieran Charnock, currently on loan from Morecambe, to fill the gap left by Linwood in the centre of defence.
