WELLING UNITED: DAY TO CUT DOWN ON PLAYING TIME

Welling United's player-manager Jamie Day has revealed this season may be his last as a registered pro.

The 32 year old has juggled his commitments as manager and midfielder at the Wings for two years but thinks now may be the right time to phase out his playing time.

"This year I've pencilled in a few games that I think we might need some experience in. But I want to start stepping away from it a bit now and focus on the other side of the game."

"I trust the players we've got, they're all good enough players and they all want to play. Hopefully we can go on a bit of a run so everyone keeps their places, and then I'm happy to watch."

Day has made three appearances for the Wings this season, and has lead them to third place in the division.
