CLIFTONVILLE FC: REDS STAVE OFF WINDING UP PETITION

Cliftonville have managed to have the winding up order issued to them by HM Revenue and Customs overturned at the High Court.
The order is thought to relate to debts accumulated by the former regime at the club. In a statement the chairman Gerard Lawlor said, "In these tough econimic times, we have had to redouble our efforts but are pleased that recently, despite some last minute hurdles, we have settled the aged debt with HMRC which we have been working at for many years."
