ROTHERHAM UNITED: DOUBLE SIGNING FOR MILLERS

Rotherham United have completed the signings of Jon Harley and Guy Branston on emergency loan deals from Notts County and Bradford City respectively.

The duo, both experienced defenders, should feature in the Millers' clash with Bristol Rovers this evening and will be a welcome addition to a side who have conceded twelve goals in their last five league fixtures.

Former Sheffield United and Burnley left back Jon Harley says he jumped at the opportunity to play first team football, "I spoke to Martin Allen [Notts County manager] and he told me that Rotherham were interested in taking me so this is a great chance for me to come here and hopefully play games."

Harley has featured twice this season for the Magpies and moves on a one month deal to the Don Valley Stadium.

Rotherham United fans will be more familiar with Guy Branston, the 32 year old played for the Millers for five years in the early 2000s and was happy to return.

"When I asked who the club was and he [Phil Parkinson, Bradford City Manager] explained I thought it was an opportunity to come and play football. That is what I am about, I don't believe in sitting on benches so I decided to take the opportunity to sign for Rotherham and I have got a big grin on my face, I am very pleased."

Guy has signed a three month emergency loan deal.
