The 18 year old has made a handful of appearances for the City first team and is held in high regard by manager Roberto Mancini, "He's a talented footballer and a very good man. I believe he has the ability to become a very important player for Manchester City."
Razak has signed in time to feature in the clash with Derby County tomorrow and Portsmouth's caretaker boss Guy Whittingham is looking forward to seeing him pull on the Pompey colours.
"Abdul is a gifted midfield player. It's a great opportunity for him to come here and get some experience. We're very fortunate to have him."
