The 37 year old former Celtic defender has developed a comedy set at a football club including anecdotes and comments seen and overheard in his career as a player.
McNamara has teamed up with Francis Gilhooley, an actor, and the pair have put together a script, "He [McNamara] has all these stories from the dressing room and didn't necessarily want to put them in a book, so this seemed like the perfect opportunity."
"With Jackie on board and others it means we've got that realism to it, these are things they've picked up over the years that have actually happened in dressing rooms." Gilhooley added.
The project is expected to feature both actors and current professional footballers.
