The 16 year old spent a week with the Premier League side recently as they took a closer look at him and has now gone one step closer to securing a move to the top division.
Eastleigh released a statement through their official website, "On Monday, Eastleigh FC had a long conversation with Fulham FC in respect of Sam Wilson. FFC were very, very impressed with Sam, and they will continue to monitor his progress in the coming months."
"We have agreed with Fulham that we will not covet interest in the player from other clubs for a period of time and review that situation in the New Year."
