OXFORD UNITED: US SIGN YOUNG BLADE

Chris Wilder has raided his former club for young striker Danny Philliskirk.

The 20 year old, who agreed a permanent contract with Sheffield United in the summer, will link up with Wilder's Oxford United side for a month in the hope of securing a run of first team appearances.

Philliskirk impressed for the Blades on loan last season but has been restricted to just one substitute's appearances this term under new boss Danny Wilson.

Wilder spoke to Oxford's official website after finalising the deal, "He has done very well for Sheffield United's reserve side and can play anywhere along the front line."

Danny played for the Us whilst on loan from former club Chelsea last year.
